Self Storage
Self storage provides the modern solution to everyone’s need for additional
space, whether it’s a household trying to de-clutter or a business looking to
hold stock. It works by people hiring a certain size of room, measured in square
feet and referred to as a ‘unit’, from a self storage firm and then using it for
(more or less) whatever purpose they want to. They are most commonly used to
hold a tenant’s surplus possessions, although much more creative ones have also
been found, including as artist’s studios, games rooms and even a gym for
teaching martial arts.
The cost of renting a unit varies, both in terms of where it is found (major
cities are dearest; rural backwaters less so) and also by whether it is inside a
modern, purpose built warehouse development, or simply a shipping container kept
outdoors. To count as self storage, the customer must have access to their unit
on an ad hoc basis at least during normal business hours, and possibly beyond
these as well; storage companies that say an appointment is needed for access is
not offering the same thing.
Self storage finder site helps direct
people to their nearest self storage facility with its finder feature, as well
as providing a wealth of information explaining how to use storage, FAQs,
information videos and blogs about self storage.
